Central Institute of Fisheries Technology CIFT Invites Junior Research Fellow Vacancy August 2011

WALK-IN-INTERVIEW 
Eligible candidates are invited to attend a walk-in-Interview with all relevant documents for 1(one) position of Junior Research Fellow to work for a project on “ Euphoric Zone production estimation using satellite data as an input to potential yield of pelagic herbivores in Indian EFZ”  at Central Institute of Fisheries Technology, Cochin.   Applications are invited from candidates committed to hard work.

Qualification
:
Essential : MFSc/MSc in Marine Biology / Fisheries/ Industrial Fisheries.  Candidate must have knowledge in identification and cataloguing of planktons, marine organism, gut content analysis and bio optical studies.  The person must be willing to go to sea frequently for sampling in traditional canoes and boats.

Desirable: Seagoing experience and knowledge in use of computer, satellite data processing and statistical analysis of data.
 
Emoluments
:
Consolidated amount of Rs.12000/- + HRA per month
 


Terms & Conditions:

1.       Age limit (as on 31.7.2011) :  Below 35 years for men and 40 years for women. 

2.       Age relaxation of 3 year for OBC candidates and 5 years for SC/ST candidates is permissible.

3.       Candidates should bring with them original documents along with detailed bio-data affixing a recent passport size photograph and copies of the certificate, on the day of interview.

4.       The post is purely temporary and is conterminous with the project.

5.       No TA/DA will pay to attend the interview.

6.       Canvassing in any form will render the candidate disqualified for the post.

7.       The Director’s decision will be final and binding in all aspects regarding the selection to the post.
